It seems people dont understand the fact that GW is a TEAM game. You can't expect to do everything or perfomr unlimited combos... hell one good to well done combo of an assassin can severly hurt a class, and IF that same class is target of someone's else attentions... so I don't see what your qualm is about. Want some energy management though? Try the mesmer inspiration line.

Unholy Guardian, please quit taking everything everyone says in here personally. I myself am talking about people who refuse to see past the pre-preview hype and their own preconceived notions of the Assassin as either this unreal Jack the Ripper-esque killing machine or a watered-down Warrior with unusually thin armor.
Assassins are neither. They cannot kill an enemy with a single hit, or even two or three of them. That sort of damage capacity would be broken beyond belief. Nor, however, are they in any way comparable to Warriors. In my eyes, as far as PvP goes, they compare more accurately to Mesmers. Mesmers are difficult to play well and get a lot of flak, just like Assassins. Also like Assassins, Mesmers specialize in highly disruptive burst strikes, laying down an unholy smackdown on someone before running for their dinner clothing-clad heinies. Assassins do roughly the same sort of thing, diving in to deliver their predesigned strike before running for their unusually pointy heinies.
Play an Assassin like you would a Warrior and you will die. More importantly in most respects, you will fail. You will be an inefficient, ineffective, undesirable player utilizing a class you do not understand very well at all. You will contribute little, if anything at all, to your team, whether you are playing in PvE, PvP, or Pv-1982. No one expects Mesmers to stick around and slug it out once they've done their job, so why does everyone expect it of Assassins?

good points, espcially for the pvp part, but in pve if u retreat a little so do the henchman, so it may be a class better to be put in with real humans, cause i tried that once to teleport away, and stupid henchman thought i was fleeing and so did they....
and yea i know i take too much to heart, too used to those blasted runescape forums (i played that game for like a year) and man those people flame a lot and mean it, guess i should go to runescape rehab or something

Take a bow. Plink away whilst you recharge (and lose aggro) to keep the henchies focused, then charge back in at the opportune moment. It's also lets you lure enemies to you, rather than charging in and getting ganked whilst waiting for the Healer Hench to catch up.

You do know that pure Warriors often use bows or wands without any associated attribute for precisely Myodato listed? That and the rapid ranged buildup of Adrenaline, which could help if you're A/W and using adrenal skills. It's just a smart tool to have around.

I always find it amusing that one of the most popular weapons amongst hard-core PvP warriors is a particular collectors fire wand.
I said bow specifically mostly because I used A/R with Apply Poison a lot over the weekend. The ability to start the enemy losing health from a safe distance and then close for the (softened) kill is very useful. The appropriate bow will also give you the longest ranged weapon available.
